How to install a faucet
Whether you are installing a bathroom faucet or a kitchen faucet the procedure is very close to the same.
Faucet Removal
A. turn off the water
B. loosen the supply nuts using a basin wrench
C. remove the supply tubes
D. loosen off the holding nut
(these can be quite stubborn to the point of impossible, and there can be 1-3 of these)
(You will need to use either your basin wrench or a six inch adjustable wrench)
E. Remove the faucets
(If you could not remove the holding nuts you may have to hacksaw the faucet off
Some are so corroded that you will not be able to remove them. Careful not to damage
The sink when you are cutting off the old faucet, or call a plumber)
F. Clean the space before installing your new faucets. This will be easier now than after.
Faucet Installation
G. Insert new faucets ( holes may have to be added or enlarged)
H. Tighten on the holding nuts or brackets (these are either made of brass or plastic)
I. Install new supply tubes and tighten
J. Check for leaks
